Mo Willems: Elephant and Piggie

The hubby and I stumbled upon these books in Target, another gem of Mo Willems’. Elephant and Piggie are best friends and they get into all sorts of wonderful adventures together. While standing in Target, we read two books: Should I Share My Ice Cream? and Today I Will Fly! We were both in stitches, me crying from laughter by the time we were done. They are wonderful, just as wonderful as the Pigeon books, I think. The drawings are, again, simple, as is the dialogue. But the expressions of the characters, their body language, and the story is expanded out through Elephant and Piggie’s internal monologues, which are hilarious!

I think I have just found another addition to baby’s book collection. ^_^
